Leather is the most durable cover for upholstered furniture. Leather may be compared to the skin on your hands; it must be cleaned and avoid damage. When leather is used correctly, and kept clean, it will last for very many years. Like your skin the leather will change slightly after years of use. All leather includes a number of natural marks such as insect bites, scars, wounds etc. These marks are a sign of quality, not a ground for claim.
CHOICE OF 3 LEATHER QUALITIES
ELANO offers 3 types of leather qualities, each with different characteristics. It is important to notice that leather is a natural element, and that some natural irregularities will occur. Natural marks are more common on Paloma and Atlanticleather qualities than the Batick quality. The leather colour may also vary slightly from one batch of production to the next, for this reason, we do not recommend the ordering of products to match, at a later time. Also the colour selected from the swatch, to the actual delivered product, may also vary slightly.
BATICK leather
Batick is corrected grain leather, printed and surface-dyed and has most of its natural irregularities removed. The surface is smooth and homogeneous. Some colours have a two-tone effect, and others are plain. There is a protective coating of lacquer on the surface, making it easier to keep clean, makes it the natural choice for families with young children. The Batick leather quality is our most popular, being the most competitively priced. The Batick quality can also be combined with vinyl on the backside of the chair or sofa.
PALOMA leather
The Paloma leather quality is semi-aniline leather with a soft, rich and comfortable touch. The surface is slightly buffed, which shows some grain. This quality of leather gives a more natural feeling, while at the same time the surface has been sufficiently protected to make it easy to keep clean. It is respiration active , that is, it absorbs moisture and breathes well. Paloma is an optimal combination, having almost the softness of Aniline, with some of the protection of Batick leather.
ATLANTIK leather
The Atlantic leather quality is our most expensive, with full natural grain surface. It is through-dyed leather, especially for furniture, with a slight surface coating. This makes the colour more even, with the surface being more resistant to strong light and stains. It has a soft surface and warm glow, which absorbs moisture and breathes well. Some natural markings may be visible. For people who understand and appreciate natural leather, Atlantic leather is the finest quality.
